This is Part 2 of a three part article. You can read the first chapter here: Part 1.

If you read my previous story here on Medium, you already know about Jodi Huisentruit. Or perhaps you already know, because you have followed her case. If you have, we share that common thread. I have had an interest in Jodi’s disappearance since it occurred. The date was June 27, 1995. I was a police detective at the time. When I heard about Jodi’s abduction, something about it struck me. How could a young, talented and beautiful television anchor simply vanish? But sadly, it does happen. And it happened to Jodi Huisentruit when she was only 27 years old.

So, who was Jodi Huisentruit? Jodi was described by many as being the life of the party — a person that created sparks wherever she was. She was hugely career driven. Jodi loved her job, and she worked very hard to better herself in her position. She worked on things that would make her a better television anchor — things like her voice delivery, or how she said things on the air.
