I completely understand how difficult it is for a victim to leave their abuser. And I hear you loud and clear, Julia, when you say that you need to give up hope that he will ever change.

The vast majority of abusers don't change.....mainly because much of their abusive nature is tied to their personality. Personality is a main fiber of who we are, and it's very difficult to alter. Personality disorders in general, are one of the toughest things for therapists and mental health professionals to confront.
