Hi Jenn! I'm Scott, a relatively new writer here on Medium. I'm a former police detective and forensic child interviewer. I wanted to tell you that this story broke my heart. I recently published a story on Medium, outlining how African American girls are often treated much differently by the media, when they go missing.
