Laundrie remains unaccounted for, as coroner determines Gabby Petito was murdered

Did he or didn’t he? As Florida police continue their search for Brian Laundrie in the Carlton Nature Reserve, many wonder if he is actually there. I’m on that list that has lots of questions. I’m not convinced that he is actually at the Carlton Reserve. And I’m not alone.

Many people believe that Laundrie either misled his parents as to where he was headed, or his parents have intentionally misled police to give Laundrie time to flee. Television crime personality John Walsh has joined the team of those trying to find Laundrie. Walsh has been very open that he does not believe for one minute, that Brian Laundrie is in the Carlton Reserve.

Whether he is somewhere in the reserve, or whether he is elsewhere, one thing is certain. Without finding Laundrie, this case of homicide is going to be challenging to move forward in the way it needs to. Not absolutely impossible….but challenging.

Police have yet to name Laundrie as a “suspect” in Gabby Petito’s murder. He remains a person of interest, which to many, is baffling. And when you look at the whole picture that has emerged over the past couple of weeks, I can understand why people are frustrated.

Laundrie embarked on a cross-country trip with his girlfriend/fiancé Gabby. Then he came home without Gabby. Laundrie immediately obtained a lawyer. He refused to speak to police, or to Gabby’s parents. His parents also refused to talk to police, reportedly at the suggestion of their attorney. And to complicate things more, Laundrie disappeared, stating (allegedly) to his parents that he was going for a hike. And he never came back.

Many of you have seen the above picture. This is body cam footage from August 12th, the day that Laundrie and Gabby were contacted by police in Moab, Utah. A 911 caller reported that Laundrie was hitting Gabby prior to this contact. When police arrived, they reported that Gabby was so distraught, that she was sobbing uncontrollably and hyperventilating. Yet Laundrie was calm and collected. Police have indicated that he interacted…
